Today has been a relatively quiet and short day with our morning being very blessed by a visit to the Garden Tomb with Golgotha nearby.
This particular site has been recognised for only a few short decades as the Place of the Skull with the garden of Joseph of Arimathea being nearby,
as scholars have studied the topography of Jerusalem in greater detail alongside the Gospels. It became quite clear to us that this site makes
much more sense than the location of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Old Jerusalem.

We could see the ‘skull’ shape in the rock, and with the garden being nearby [as the scriptures testify], including archaeological evidence that it was a place of cultivation [garden] with a wine press
being found, and a tomb located in the rock wall, the conclusion that this is a likely place made so much sense.
We read scriptures together, we broke bread and drank wine together, we prayed, sang and cried. The increasing realisation that our time together is drawing to a close caused us all to reflect on truly being the body of Christ, being family together, and that our tour being called the ‘Growing Together Tour’ was truly being blessed by God.

The afternoon and evening are free time, as is tomorrow [Saturday], after another stop at the Mt of Olives for a group photo across the city, some were dropped off for an afternoon at the Old City [inside the walls] while others returned to the hotel for either a quiet afternoon, or to just wander Jerusalem at leisure.
There is no doubt, we have been, and are blessed!!
